Sometimes a Bali holiday still feels like you’re missing something — there’s so much to see and never quite enough time. A day trip to Nusa Penida fixes that. It’s about 40 minutes by speedboat, and you’re straight into dramatic cliffs, turquoise water and quiet beaches.
You’ll visit iconic locations like Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Crystal Bay. Add snorkeling to your trip, and you might encounter graceful manta rays and discover the vibrant underwater world of the island.
Make a day of it — come back with great photos and stories you’ll actually tell people.
Departure to Nusa Penida
06:30 — arrival at the Sanur port. You must be at the port at least 60 minutes before the boat departure to have enough time to check in for your trip.
07:30 — departure to Nusa Penida. At the port, find the office of the boat company's office and check in for your trip. Keep your ticket safe — you’ll need it for the return journey.
The trip to the island takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival, a driver with a "MyBaliTrips" sign will meet you at the port.
Exploring the western part of Nusa Penida
Your journey will begin with visits to the island’s most scenic natural attractions: Kelingking Beach with its dinosaur-shaped cliff, Broken Beach with a natural stone arch, and Angel’s Billabong — a crystal-clear natural pool overlooking the ocean.
Along the way, you’ll have lunch at a local "Ogix Warung" offering traditional Indonesian dishes. Lunch isn’t included — you’ll pay at the cafe.
Snorkeling near Nusa Penida
After lunch, you’ll board a boat for your snorkeling adventure. You’ll usually visit three of these spots: Manta Bay, Gamat Bay, SD Point or Turtle Point.
The snorkeling lasts about 2 hours. The guide on the boat is responsible for your safety and will assist you if needed. After snorkeling, you can take a shower and change clothes.
Return to Bali
16:30 — boat departure from Nusa Penida Island back to Bali. At Sanur port, a driver will meet you for the return transfer.
If you booked a private transfer, the driver will arrive at the scheduled time. If you return early, any additional transport costs aren’t covered by the company.
If you plan to return earlier, please contact the driver in advance — their contact details are available in your personal account. If the driver is available, they will do their best to arrive earlier. However, in some cases, the pickup can only take place at the scheduled time — in this case, we kindly ask you to wait.
While waiting, you can take shelter from the sun or rain and purchase refreshments inside the port building.
If your program finishes before your boat departure, your driver will take you to a beach club where you can relax. Closer to departure time, you’ll be transferred to the harbor for boarding.
If you decide to leave самостоятельно and not wait for the driver, please note that compensation for the unused transfer or reimbursement for a taxi arranged independently is not provided.
A government tax of Rp 25,000 per person is collected on arrival to Nusa Penida.
Swimming at Kelingking Beach is dangerous and not allowed because of strong waves and no lifeguards.
Breakfast and lunch are not included in the program. We recommend bringing breakfast with you and budgeting for lunch.
Some drivers may not speak English, so you may need to find your way from the parking area to the attraction independently.
At low tide you might board from the shallows instead of the pier, so bring water shoes for comfort.
We can’t guarantee manta sightings when snorkeling (clause 7.3 of the user agreement).
If there are big waves at Manta Point on the day of the tour, the snorkeling operator reserves the right to change it to another spot for your safety.
The tour program is quite intensive, and you will have no more than 20–30 minutes at each location. Due to heavy road traffic, it may not be possible to visit all the listed stops. If you would like to spend more time at natural attractions, we recommend choosing our multi-day tours on Nusa Penida Island.

Hello. I want to write a review from our family. We really enjoyed the trip, everything was cool and great. We didn’t have to worry about anything. I forgot the name of the guy who drove us around the island, but he was great, experienced, fast. Recommend him to tourists and don't worry, nothing will go wrong. The snorkeling guys are 100% great, especially the guy who dived with us. He dives deep and moves the turtles so we could see them. The videos he took are great and high quality. But damn, the driver who picked us up from the hotel—I thought we had to drive far with traffic at 6 am. It was a complete mess; it took an hour to get there, and the return was a separate quest. First of all, we waited 30 minutes after the boat for him to arrive. Damn, the way he drives is a nightmare, the navigator showed 35 minutes, but we've already been driving for an hour. Better find a better driver, really even if he charges less, don’t send him to people so they don’t get nervous. This is my personal opinion. About the rest, thanks a lot, it was great, cool. We were lucky with the weather, no extreme heat.
All went great. The places are beautiful; although it was crowded, we managed to take good photos. The waves at Broken Beach are amazing, you could watch them forever.
At the specified time, I arrived at the port, got my ticket, and calmly paid the extra fee for Nusa Penida. At the dock, I was met by a guide named Oyop, holding a sign. He was very cheerful, constantly telling me things and always asking if I was comfortable. He drove me around the island, took photos and videos of me at every location, chose great angles, and even advised me on how to pose. :) A very responsible guy. During snorkeling, he supported me morally and kept me entertained. I'm not a strong swimmer, and he helped me put on my fins and get out of the water afterwards. Overall, the dives went excellently, even though I was very worried. I saw two mantas, turtles, colorful fish, and even three dolphins!!! At one of the spots, I saw macaques and fed them. An amazing island, I would love to come here again.
